Personalized experiences through small groups
We guide each group at a comfortable pace, creating calm and meaningful experiences that large tours cannot offer.
Yoshiharu Nagai
Founder / Chief Guide
I have worked professionally in the fishing world and published more than 1,500 articles as a fishing writer.
Time spent in nature has always been at the heart of who I am.
While fishing for salmon along the Shiretoko coastline, I realized how unforgettable this experience could be for first-time visitors.
That moment became the beginning of Only One Tours.
Through our tours, I hope guests can experience Hokkaido’s seasons more closely and more deeply.
Rather than simple sightseeing, my goal is to create moments that stay in your memory long after the journey ends.
At age 13, I discovered fishing at Otaru Harbor and entered the world of angling.
I later challenged big-game fishing across Hokkaido including Okushiri, Rishiri, and Rebun islands, expanding into competitive fishing.
Within three years of joining my club, I became its youngest champion.
I competed in numerous tournaments and earned the rank of “4th Dan in Fishing,” the youngest recipient at the time.
At age 28, I began writing as a member of the Anglers Pen Club for Sports Nippon Newspaper.
In 2002, I signed a field staff contract with DAIWA, contributing to product development and planning.
One rod color I proposed became a long-selling model still continued today.
Upon retiring in 2022, I received a letter of appreciation from Globeride Inc.
I continue supporting fishing activities today.
We guide each group at a comfortable pace, creating calm and meaningful experiences that large tours cannot offer.
From equipment to clothing and how to spend your time outdoors, we provide full support so anyone can enjoy nature comfortably.
Rather than standard sightseeing, we tailor experiences to seasons and personal interests to create a journey uniquely yours.
